The Empty Interior

The Empty Interior is characterized by Mountains (Rocky Mountains), National Parks, Canyons and so on. This region includes states like Utah, Nevada, Arizona and even British Columbia. In comparison to Atlanta not much is similar because Mountains and Canyons dominate the region. Although, Atlanta does have mountains they are not as significant as the ones present in the Empty Interior.

Although, the Rocky Mountains are a main attraction, the region is also know as Plateau Country. The reason it is called this is because the presence of the plateau's all across the region. For example the Colorado Plateau (sedimentary rocks) is underlain and a major landscape in the area.
Another interesting fact about the terrritory which is very different from Atlanta is the wildlife that exists in the region. In Atlanta the wildlife is seen for tourist attractions (like a zoo) it is not really common for wildlife to be seen in vast territory. In this Region we see many animals, for example in Idaho and Colorado there are thousands of Elk in each state. It is also common to see bears and mountain lions in this region. Therefore, programs for conservation have been started to keep the species from attaining a dramatic change in population.
